DeTour 2019: Lichtenstein - Fußreise in Württemberg

Officially the HW5 of the Schwäbisch starts. Albvereins in Pforzheim, we get to stage 2 in Weil der Stadt. The stage is not too long, so there is time for a small tour in the historic city center with the very beautiful late Gothic town church and marketplace with a monument to the city's greatest son… voir plus

Second day on the HW5. On it we circle the large beech forest area and sandstone plateau of the Schönbuch on its west side. At first deviating from the main path, we continue uphill on the Sculptoura path towards Mauren, again with a few stimulating objects. It is still raining and we take a narrow forest… voir plus

Third day on the HW5. The approach of Breitenholz brings us the joy to pass again the small vineyards of the place, this time on the valley side, in the morning sun. Then the path disappears in the forest for a while, before it reaches the vineyards of Entringen at Schönbuchspitz. There, a Wengerter… voir plus

Fourth day on the HW5. We leave Tübingen through the bourgeois Südstadt and the Bergfriedhof, after a few meters in the forest we come back at the Aspenhau on the main path. Again and again it goes on barely committed path through tall grass (ticks!) And through short forest. We start wondering if anyone… voir plus

Fifth day on the HW5: "Before the gate of Pfullingen the servant asked the nocturnal rider where he wanted to go; and to his answer "To Lichtenstein!" he suggested a path on the right, which led to the mountains, "it says in the" Lichtenstein "by Wilhelm Hauff. Sixth day on the HW5, actually off the beaten track: the direct route to Gomadingen would only be a good half-day hike, so we extend the arc that takes us a little longer along the beautiful Albtrauf and then through the hinterland into the Lautertal over. Seventh day on the HW5: The valley of the Great Lakes is often quite narrow, watercourse, train, road, road and agricultural land must share the scarce area. For pedestrians, as always the weakest link, there is usually no separate route left and they have to share the paths with the other road users… voir plus

Eighth day on the HW5: When we leave the inn in the morning, a two-in-hand driving by, on the coachman an older couple. They greet and the Lord takes off his cap when they meet us.
